What is Land Lease Model?
With Vedaanta - Meenakshi's land lease model, you lease your home and lease the land for a fee. This fee includes access to community facilities, maintenance services to communal areas, and management support - offering a low-maintenance lifestyle with more time for living.
Can I rent my villa?
Yes rental is permitted. Villa can be rented to anyone subject to community guidelines.
Apart from monthly fees, what charges do I have to pay?
Your monthly fee covers most charges associated with living in the village incluing telephone, internet, electricity, water, gas and house insurance. However fees do not cover any purchases you make in the retail precinct and food purchased from outside. For more details and complete list please refer to the lease document.
When I transfer my lease to another person what fees and charges will I have to pay?
If you nominate Vedaanta as your agent, Vedaanta may charge a commission fee as well as any sales and marketing fees associated with the transfer of the home.
Can I have a pet?
Pets are most welcome, but it is worth checking the Community Guidelines regarding pet approval process when planning your move.
Who looks after the community?
The Community Management team will look after all the facilities and amenities as well as all common gardens, paths, roads, entry gates, etc.
Can I have visitors stay?
Short-term visitors, family and friends can stay with you in your home for up to six weeks in any twelve-month period.
What are all the charges that guests should pay?
Guests buy meals, drinks, and snacks as per the price in the menu list. Guests can use all the amenities and facilities without any charges. If you are cooking your own food in your house then there will not be any charges. However please check with the lease document for more details regarding purchase of groceries, vegetables, health consultations and treatments etc for your guests during their stay.
Can I lock and leave my home?
Vedaanta - Meenakshi has an appointed Community Manager who will collect any parcels that may arrive while you are away, so you can enjoy your trip in total peace of mind.
Is Vedaanta - Meenakshi a gated community?
Vedaanta - Meenakshi is a secure and gated community with CCTV surveillance through out the complex.
I visit my daughter for 6 months in USA every year. How are my charges calculated?
Our one fixed monthly charges are calculated daily. When you are staying with your daughter for 6 months, you will not be charged any amount. We will still maintain your house both inside and outside so that you can come and live without any issues.
I visit my brother who is living in Chennai frequently within the month. How are my charges calculated on the day when I leave?
A day is considered for charges when you have your first drink, snack, purchase from shop or meal. Hence if you have availed any facility during that day then you need to pay the per day charges for each person. However if you are going to leave very early in the morning, you will have the option to purchase your drink and other items from the menu by paying directly. In this case you will not be charged your daily rate.
A function is going to take place in my family. Can I book the function hall?
Yes, as the resident of the village you can book the hall if it is available. There will be no hiring charges for the hall. However you will have to pay the flat charges for food, electricity and water
There is a concert scheduled in the entertainment centre. Can I invite my family and friends?
Yes, you are welcome to bring over without any ticket charges provided seats are available after all the resident's seats are booked. Your guest needs to pay for food and drinks purchased.
