Administrative Formalities (Next 45-60 Minutes)
Document Review & Final Signatures: Review the signed lease/residency agreement one last time.
Confirm receipt of any outstanding payments or security deposits.
Essential Information Collection:
Verify emergency contact information (primary, secondary).
Collect contact details for their primary physician and any specialists.
Scan and save copies of their ID, and any health insurance/Medicare cards.
Key & Access Handover:
Provide keys/access cards to the apartment and common areas.
Clearly label each key.
Provide Resident Welcome Kit:
Photo of the residents for their community file and ID card are taken.
Walk the residents through their new home, show how to operate the thermostat, television, kitchen appliances, etc.

CRITICAL: Demonstrate the use of the emergency call button/pendant. Have them practice using it once.

Dietary Needs Confirmation: Discuss dietary preferences and restrictions (e.g., Jain, Satvik, no onion/garlic, low salt).
Schedule Initial Assessment: Book a time for a more detailed wellness assessment within the next 2-3 days.
Schedule of Activities for the Resident's First Day
This schedule is designed to be gentle and informative, preventing overwhelm while fostering a sense of belonging.
Morning (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM) - Arrival and Settling In
10:00 AM: Arrival & Swagatam Ceremony. A warm, spiritual welcome.
10:30 AM: Comfortable Formalities. Complete paperwork over refreshments in the manager's office or a quiet lounge.
11:15 AM: Unlocking Your New Home. Villa handover, orientation, and safety feature demonstration.
12:00 PM: Quiet Time. Allow the resident and their family private time in the apartment to begin unpacking a few personal items (like photos, a small deity, or familiar blankets) to make the space feel like their own.
Afternoon (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM) - Nourishment and Gentle Exploration
1:00 PM: First Community Meal. Escort the resident to the dining hall for lunch.
Action: A designated "Community Ambassador" (a friendly, established resident) or a staff member should join them for their first meal to facilitate conversation and answer informal questions.
2:00 PM: Meet the Wellness Team. A brief and reassuring introduction to the nursing or wellness staff.
2:30 PM: Rest and Relaxation. Encourage a period of rest in their new apartment. Moving is physically and emotionally draining.
Late Afternoon (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM) - Spiritual and Social Connection
4:00 PM: A Gentle Tour. A short, slow-paced tour of key community areas:
The Mandir (Prayer Hall): Explain the timings for daily aarti and other services.
Library/Reading Room.

5:45 PM: Introduction to a Neighbour. Introduce them to their next-door neighbour for a friendly hello.
Evening (6:00 PM onwards) - Winding Down
6:30 PM: Dinner. Another opportunity for a shared meal.
7:30 PM: Evening Check-in. A staff member pays a brief visit to the resident's apartment to see if they are comfortable, answer any last-minute questions, and wish them a good night. Confirm they know how to use the emergency call system.
8:00 PM: Peaceful Evening. The resident is left to relax and settle in for their first night.
